SYNOPSIS
SEQUEL to Right and Red.
On the road to recovery after the events of Right & Red, Dayna Miller has someone pop back into her life. Someone in the form of The Red Saint. While this happens, she is getting evaluated by her new colleague and struggles to help her brother, a wannabe writer. We also learn more about The Red Saint. His younger self, his mother and his father who is played by Terrence Cavender.
CAST
DAYNA MILLER
Detective inspector Dayna Miller after the events of Right and Red is left figuring out what to do at home. She can not work, she can not go solve cases. So she decides to help her brother with his issues.
Dayna is played by ALEXIS LACE who is reprising her role. With the power of her performance in right and red. It made sense for her to be the focus of his film. Her acting and her personality shine in her performance of Dayna.
Dayna Miller is smart, she is also very strong and determined to get what she wants. She is overly caring of people and tries to ignore people's flaws, only focusing on the good things about them. She however has changed after her near-death experience. Seeing life in a less than fashionable fashion.
THE RED SAINT
The Red Saint is a mass murderer with multiple victims to his name. After 2 years in hiding, he is back.
The Red Saint is played by POSEIDON HARRIS a man who really took the character and ran with it. He knew what was wanted from him and acted it out amazingly. Over the course of two years, Poseidon has started becoming a bartender/mixologist. While doing that he was still able to work on the project and give a stellar performance.
The Red Saint is a man with a troubled past. He is very skilled, very articulate and very intelligent. He has episodes of anger or frustration but to him, that isn't a negative.
ALEX CASBIN
Detective Inspector Alex Casbin, is the assigned evaluator of Dayna. After the events of Right and Red, he was to check on her recovery and make sure she is getting better and more able to return to work. However during the two years of talks. Alex and Dayna have grown a fondness outside of work.
Alex is played by the fantastic LUKE THOMAS HEWITT. An actor, writer and director of his own. He worked fantastically with the others, bringing a bubbly liveliness to the set and also to the character of Alex.
Alex Casbin is very shy and reserved, but super intelligent and a lover of clues and riddles.
GABRIEL MILLER
The brother of Dayna Miller. Gabriel is a wannabe writer. While his father was dismissive of him and his dreams Gabriel continued to pursue them however now he is contemplating if he is even good enough to go far in the career of his dreams.
Gabriel Miller is played by ANDRY VILDAK a great actor who added a lot of depth to the character. After his audition, it blew me away so much more scenes with the brother were added to show off Andry's great acting ability/
Gabriel is forthright, opinionated and a bit of a hard head. He stands for what he thinks. However, he is also kind and soft. The heart of the family and the heart of the film.
EVE WALTZ
Dr. Eve Waltz. Doctor who's diagnosed with a terminal illness. She is the reason Karib Waltz writes. The soul that keeps him grounded. The only person who really truly cared about him.
Eve Waltz is played by HANNAH CRAMER. Someone who absolutely stole it with her audition. It was such a strong performance, as soon as she left the room. Both me and my script editor Christopher Maudling knew she was perfect for the role.
Eve is a passionate mother. She is smart and caring to a fault. Family and life mean all to her.
MARCUS WALTZ
Marcus Waltz. CEO of WALTZ MEDIA. A small production company based in London. While being small Waltz Media has given Marcus and his family the luxury of a more "affluent" lifestyle.
Marcus Waltz is played by TERRENCE CAVENDER. During his rehearsal, he nailed the overbearing and powerful nature of the character, while himself being a hilarious sweet man. Goes to show his ability and how great he is as an actor.
Marcus is an emotional man, however, over the years he has found a way to hide it. He does so by removing himself from situations that are stressful or induce hard emotions. He loves his family but doesn't really know how to show it.
KARIB WALTZ
Karib Waltz is a young wannabe writer. He loved writing stories, it was a way to get the strange and worrying things out of his head. He would constantly go to a dark place in his mind and only two things would bring him back. Writing and his mother.
Karib Waltz is played by JOE POOLE. Great guy, and a great actor. Was able to really show the vulnerable and angry side of the character. Willing to also suggest ways to take the character to further layer the performance.
Karib is very smart and very articulate. Very patient but also incredibly ignorant and naieve. Possibly due to the shielding, his mother has given him all his life.
